Before and after

I had my cute friend Dallas over the other day and she showed me this baby romper she had bought from a store and it was super simple but WAY overpriced (I think she said like $60) so I decided to trace it and make my own.  I bought this cheap clearance skirt from Old Navy for $3.99 and made a few alterations to the pattern, but it turned out really cute.  Also,  the crotch piece I cut out and did some practice stitches on ended up fitting Gidgets head (a little snug, but still pretty cute) so funny!  I didn't even think about it being a hat at the time, I just set it aside and later Lola came carrying Gidget and had put it one her.  Haha!

Taste test, gone wrong!

Just something I want to Remember;  A couple of days ago I took the kids to Delta (Tony was working) to celebrate my Moms Birthday.  Shortly after we got to her house Carver Found a Robin egg and ran over to show it to me.  The day went on with Four wheeling, eating and playing with cousins and I had completely forgotten about the robin egg.   Well, fast forward to when it was time to head home.   I had to go to my sister Holly's house to pick up the other half of my kids that had gone to see their fox and when we got there I honked and Dottie climbed into the front seat and put something in her mouth and I assumed it was one of the blue cough drops that Grandpa Scotty had given to Lola, next thing I know she is spitting it out and all I see is that it was something blue?  When I wiped it up it wasn't what I thought, it was bright blue and in little tiny pieces.  Just then it dawned on me that it was the robin egg.  I burst into laughter and asked Carver where he put the Robin egg he found earlier,  he said he put it in a plastic Easter egg.  I laughed and laughed but Carver did not think it was funny.  He said she had killed the baby bird!  I said, I know its not funny, but it IS funny because Dottie thought it was Easter Candy. That wasn't the best place to hide your awesome find.  What a nasty surprise!  She really took a minute to realize what it was because she crunched that egg shell into bits.  Poor girl just wanted some candy.

Take me Back!

I miss these three being this size!  Dottie with her third Black Eye and Pepper with short hair (I remember thinking it will NEVER grow out!) those round bellies, and tiny swimsuits. They are both wearing size 6-12 months, they insisted they try them on.  Ha ha!  Carver with all his baby teeth.  Awe, they are all just the best EVER!

It takes a Village.

Today as I dropped Ray off for Baseball practice (late as usual) I watched him walk over looking for someone to practice throwing with since the other boys were already paired up, he stood there for a second looking around, then one of the coaches yelled over to him and started playing catch with him and helping him control his throws.   I felt a lump in my throat just thinking how grateful I am to have good people helping to shape my kids.  It really does take a village, and I am so happy to be surrounded by so many good people.

Always look to the bright side of Your life.

Hello!
Just trying the whole blog thing again, after not signing in for several years I'm feeling pretty rusty.  I'm trying to not be too hard on myself for leaving out the last 4 years of my kids life and just pick up where we are now.  Wish me Luck!  This picture is outdated, but its one of the only pictures I have of all of my kids together and looking at the camera.  Anyway, I love these people so much and hope I can remember all the cute/funny/naughty/nice things they do on a daily basis and share them with you.  That is all!
