Lola Said:

I'm so FAR behind on my blogging I don't know where to begin, I still have Snowman pictures, Lola's Birthday (way back in March) and all of Carvers monthly pictures to post, but since I don't want to forget the funny things Lola is constantly saying I'm posting them first!

Today Lola said to me, "Mom, I Never cried when I was a baby huh?" I said, "You cried sometimes but hardly ever, you were such a good baby!" She said, "I was a horribly good baby huh?!" I love that she knows all these BIG words but not exactly how to use them, sure makes our lives entertaining!

About a month ago we were driving home from Salt lake and Lola started talking about how everyone gets old and dies and how she doesn't want to get old, then she said, "I don't want to die and go the heaven" and I said, "How come? Where do you want to go?" She said, " I want to just stay at your house and play with my Barbies for a long time!" I said, "Don't worry Lola, you will have lots of time to play with your barbies. You will love Heaven it is beautiful and your body will be perfect and it won't ever hurt and you will feel good and not get sick. Did you know that Jesus was perfect? He was the only person who lived on the earth that was perfect, and didn't make any mistakes! We need to try really hard to be like Jesus so we can live in heaven with him and our families forever. " She said, "Are you perfect like Jesus?" I laughed and said, "No, I make lots of mistakes every day!" She said "I make mistakes too huh? Then with a smirk on her face, she said "I like that word....... MISTAKES!(giggle giggle)" I just hope she doesn't like them TOO much!

Carver sneezed in Lola's face the other day and Lola said, "Carver just bless-you'd right in my face!" She calls sneezes "bless you's".

Lola and Ray were helping me put stuff in the deep freezer out in the shop last week and Lola said, "Ray you are a special special boy, you make me so happy! she began to dance around, and she said, "you make me dance and my heart happy!" I just love to watch them play together, Lola is always the leader and Ray mimics EVERYTHING she does, cutest thing EVER!

Today we spent several hours outside (perfect day!) Lola and Ray helped me plant flowers and then later they played in the sprinkler. They were pretending that they were taking showers in it or that it was a swimming pool and they were acting out diving motions into the sprinklerhead (pretty entertaining if you ask me!)then they would run and lay on their towels to dry off then they would walk over to me with thier umbrella's and come and say, Lola- "Bye Mom we are going to the store!" then Ray would follow her every move, except for some reason he was pretending I was Grandma, he said, "You not Mom anymore, you Gamma" then they would walk around the yard for a couple of minutes then act surprised to see me and come running and give me kisses and tell me, "I missed you so much Mom!" and "I missed you so much Gamma!" they did this for almost an hour it was pretty cute watching Lola with her little shadow/echo!

Hope to be back to speed with blogging soon, wish me luck!

Ray

RayMarch25copyweb

February 27th was Rays Birthday, he turned two. We had family and a few friends over for a pinata, food, cake and ice cream. He Loves, Loves, Loves, Thomas right now so his Grandma Jane went all out and made him this adorable Train cake, she felt horrible that a few hours before the party it started to slip and was a little crooked, but no one noticed. Thanks for all your hard work Jane! We also filled his room up with almost 500 balloons, it was great entertainment for the kids, running back and fourth through them and having crazy static hair. I didn't take very many pictures I am horrible lately. Good thing Grandma took some. Thanks everyone for coming and for all the great toys, Ray really loves them.

Ray,
I can't believe you are two already, where did the last year go? You are such a sweet boy (most of the time) but you sure have the scowl look down too. You have the sweetest little voice and you love to sing, your singing voice is my favorite, it is pretty high! You also have the most adorable fake laugh, I wish I could record it, it is almost better than your real laugh, almost! When you are mad, I can always make you laugh by tickling your belly, or legs and your mood quickly changes. You and Lola love to play pretend, you like to turn out the lights and use a flash light to look for snipes (you love the movie 'UP' right now) or hide in the closet. When Lola is mean or takes away your toys, you will come and tell me, "Lola, naughty boy!" It is so cute. You love to sleep on your puppy pillow and you love to listen to the polar express cd at night. You still carry Thomas everywhere you go and you love to build train tracks with daddy. You like to push your trains around the tracks on your hands and knees rather than turn them on and let them go around themselves. You always tell me 'Thank you, Mom' when I say I love you, and I love it! You are so handsome and cute, I love to look at your beautiful eyelashes when you are sleeping, I am definetly jealous of those puppies! You take the cutest pictures but you aren't very cooperative these days. I can't get a picture of my three kids together to save my life, impossible I tell ya! You love baby Carver and you always say, "Carber so cute!" and "Bye baby monkey". You are also saying, "I do it myself" and "let go of me" when I am trying trying to help you eat or get dressed. You counted to ten the other day, and I had no idea you knew how. You are super smart and can say anything. Lola is a really good teacher, she will sit and show you picture books and tell you what things are and have you say them, it is so nice to watch you learn from her. I know you two will always be close. You love your Daddy, you are always pretending to talk to him on the phone when he is away at work. You usually say, "Hi Dad, guess what? oh good!" Ray, thank you for being mine. I sure am happy heavenly father sent you to me, I love you too much! Love, your Mama

Ray your the man, my little man. I love how you always want to help do stuff, and how you love to run all the batteries down on my power tools. You are a good worker and are always busy, busy. One of my favorite things you do, is any time I crouch down and open my arms you always run and give me a big squeeze. I thought it was so funny when me and you went to get a hamburger from In and Out and from the back seat you could see Mc Donalds as we drove by and you just kept saying over and over "want... go... Donalds dad." Then you did the same thing on the way back. Jarod was in the car and that really cracked us both up. You love to get me drinks from the fridge and will always share you food with me. I love to see how excited you get when we finish a track or when you put money in your piggy bank all by your self. Its always the fist and elbow then an excited YES as you do your little happy dance. Your the best Ray, thanks for being my boy. Love, Daddy

Lola said-

I was pouring Lola a Bowl of cereal and she said, "Mom, now put the milk on it and that will be the finishing touches!"

I was helping Lola in the bathroom and I heard Ray shouting from the Living room, "Ray poop! Ray poop!" so I walk out and find him with his Jammie pants around his ankles and his poopy diaper off and all tangled up in his pants. Poop was smeared down his legs and all over his hands, sick! I started cleaning him up and Lola walks in and says, "This is a very messy situation!"

Lola- "Mom, I made a Patter-rhen"
me- "It's pattern!"
Lola- "Patter-rhen"
me- "No, It's PAT-TERN!, PAT-TERN!"
Lola (Mumbling under her breath) "I'm saying it right, I said it right!"
me- "what did you say?"
Lola- "I'm right!"
She is very sure of herself!

I was driving and talking to Tony on the phone, and Lola said, "Mom talking on the phone while your driving is dangerous, it's a safety violation!" I said, "I know, who taught you that? She is spending way too much time on the computer (playhouse Disney)

Lola, I don't know how we ever survived with out you, you sure are a funny little girl, we love you!

A BIG THANKS to my Sister Chellese (cbcg photography) for taking these for me. If you need pictures give her a call at (801)822-9999 she is awesome!
CarversleepingBWcopyweb This picture cracks me up. Tony always does squishy faces to our kids, so I love that Carver is doing it to himself at only one week!

Three for three - Looks like baby #3 is blue-eyed as well. I should have married a black guy- just kidding Tony! I love you!
-Read Carvers birth story below.

The Arrival of Babe #3!

I know, I'm pathetic at blogging and that baby #3 is almost 1 month old (tomorrow!) and it seems as though we don't care about the little guy, but that couldn't be farther from the truth, he is absolutely adored at the Goulding house.

Birth Story-

I was supposed to be induced a week early January 28th, I was traveling to Delta to have him, and I was worried that I wouldn't make it to the Hospital in time. Tony took two weeks off of work and we planned on spending a week at my Moms house and then a week at his house. I couldn't wait to be spoiled with good meals and lots of attention for Lola and Ray so I could just hold the new babe. Well, nothing went as planned. I drove to Delta for my last apt on the 26th and my Doctor decided that the 28th wouldn't work for him and he had a basketball game the next day and they aren't allowed to do inductions on Saturday or Sunday, so I would have to wait until Monday the 1st of Feb. What? I was irked to say the least, but I hung out in Delta for a couple of Days, thinking I would go into labor on my own, but nothing happened. I decided to drive back home and on my way I got a speeding ticket, then I was just plain ticked! I kept thinking, if I were having a baby I would be in the hospital and I wouldn't have gotten this stupid ticket, Lame! We also had planned on getting our kitchen counter tops and sink put in on the 1st and so we decided to just go home and get a few things done before the baby came. We (Tony) painted the living room and the kitchen and we got the cabinets all cleared out and ready to install the counter tops. They were supposed to come around 1:00 on Monday, they called at 3:00 and asked if they could come the next day, I laughed to myself and thought, "why not, this baby is NEVER going to come!" So we spent the rest of the day and night getting everything squeaky clean and were anxiously awaiting the new counter top, and dying to have this new baby! The counter top guys arrived around 10:00a.m. and we decided to run a few errands, when we got back the entire house was covered in dust. I decided that I couldn't handle anymore construction messes and we decided to pack it up and head to Delta the next day. I called and scheduled to be induced on my due date Feb 4th because Tony's time off was shrinking and I was worried the baby was going to be huge. They had scheduled me to come in at 6a.m. Ridiculous! I am so not a morning person. I was really nervous about being induced, that night I said a couple of prayers that I would go on my own. At 2:30a.m I was dreaming that I was having a contraction and I woke up and I really was, it was crazy. I decided to get up and pack my hospital bag and get the kids clothes out for my Mom. I kept forgetting to time my contractions, I would have one then I look at the clock and say to myself, "what time did the last one happen?!" (Still not quite awake) Then at 3:00a.m. I had another one and I was able to keep better track, they were every 5 minutes so I woke up Tony at 3:30a.m., he got ready, gave me an amazing blessing (He had a strong impression that Grandpa Ray was there) then we headed to the hospital. We arrived a little before 4:00a.m. and I got my epidural around 5:30a.m. and I had him at 7:45a.m. He took a lot more pushing than the couple of pushes for Lola and Ray. I pushed for 40 minutes, I now can see how pushing can be exhausting. He weighed 8lbs 9oz and was 20 and 1/2 inches long. I couldn't believe how chubby he looked. Both Tony and I felt really emotional this time. I don't know exactly why, but it was really neat. We are all so happy to have him here! Lola wants to take care of his every need, and is right beside me when I am doing anything for him. She was so cute, when she first got to meet baby Carver and hold him, she sang him song after song, it was so sweet, she kept saying, "he likes me to sing to him!" Ray keeps saying, "I hold mim!" and, "baby, Carber sad" anytime he hears him cry.
Side story- Another reason it took me so long to post anything is because of his name. We didn't have one, or I didn't. At the hospital the nurses kept calling him a "she" because several girl babies had recently been born. When Tony went to give the baby his first bath, the nurses were saying, "he needs a name so we can quit calling him a "She"! Tony said, "it's Carver Rockwell!" I had liked the name Carver months before we had him and then it kinda faded for me. A week before we had him Tony decided he really liked it, and started calling him that in my tummy, and he would be saying prayers with the kids and I would hear him in the other room, saying, "Please bless Mom and baby Carver......." and I would think to myself, "What, not fair?!" But I still didn't have a name that I loved. After the baby was born and they brought in the birth certificate info for me to fill out, and nurses and visitors coming in and out and I was so tired, I just jotted down the name, thinking I have ten days to change it, I am done for now and can take a nap! Well on day nine, after Tony and I had both been calling him the wrong name, "Carter, Ray, Lola". Tony said, "You can change his name if you want" but I couldn't think of another name so I guess Carver will just have to grow on us. It's kind of strange, that the name feels a little weird, but I'm sure he'll grow into it. Even if he doesn't, I don't care, I 'll still love you like crazy baby boy!

Sorry for the poor pictures, Most of them have blurry spots on them because there was a smudge on Tony's Moms camera lens and we didn't realize it.
My Mom had a Dentist appointment at 8:00a.m. and she couldn't believe it when I called her just after 8 and had already had him. she was Carvers first visitor. Thanks everyone for coming to see us, we love you!

First family pics, I can't believe there are five of us!

Jane, Sorry I didn't get any pictures of you, know that we still love you O.K.

Catch up time!

So, I really need to get this blog caught up and write down some of our latest happenings before I forget them. First off our new bundle of joy arrived on Feb 4th at a whopping 8lbs 9oz and 20 and 1/2 inches. We are so happy to have him in this world with us and not in my belly anymore.(Stretched to the max!) Now, I am going to jump back a couple of months so I can document some of Lola and Rays cuteness before the baby arrived. Stay tuned for more on baby Carver!

Lola- Months ago a donation bag was left on our porch with a picture of some children from Africa stapled to it. It had instructions to place all unwanted shoes in it and set outside for pick up at 9a.m. So I started to put all our shoes that we had out grown and Lola was following me around asking me what I was doing, I explained that I was filling the bag with old shoes for kids in Africa who didn't have any shoes. Lola was so excited, she kept opening the front door to see if the bag had been picked up. She checked about thirty times, she was sure the little kids from Africa were coming right to our porch to get them. After this little experience she started making all sorts of things for the kids in Africa and setting them out on our porch (Broken crayons in Ziploc bags, drawings on paper, scrap wood boards colored and decorated with stickers, some of Rays toys, and decorated Ziploc bags) all for the kids in Africa. She would say, "I'm giving these crayons to the kids who don't have any, and they will be so excited!" I bet she colored 50 pieces of paper. Our front porch looked like a mess. She would check all day to see if the kids from Africa had come to pick up whatever she had made them. I started having Tony take them off the front porch and throw them away, then leave her a thank you note from the kids in Africa, it was about to become a full time job for him until I told Lola that we could take stuff to the DI and it would be delivered to the kids in Africa. She was a little disappointed that she never got to meet any of the African children that she had been so generous too but she really loves to donate to the DI and to anyone who comes to our house, she wants to give everyone something when they come over. She has even started wrapping her gifts to make them extra special. I will be really glad when the roll of wrapping paper is gone, and I wish her Daddy hadn't given her her own pair or scissors, can you say- confetti. she loves to cut, cut, cut all day.

Ray- Absolutely loves Trains, particularly Thomas the Train. He carries him around all day long, and asks me to hook the train cars together about twenty times a day. He knows all of Thomas the Trains friends too and says their names so cute. He also insists on watching Thomas movies every day, he sings along to the theme song- super cute! I'm hoping to get a video camera soon so we can record his cute little voice. He adds sounds to the end of his words, one example that we hear several times a day, "Lola Take-e Thomas Train-ahh!" He sure is sweet right now. He likes watching Polar Express and he is always taking our reciepts and any piece of mail or scrap of paper and hauling it around and calling it his "ticket" and saying, "all aboard!" He's not much of an eater these days, but he loves any kind of cracker and he would live off his soy milk if I let him. He talks so well, he can say anything. He started making up knock knock jokes a few months ago, he mainly uses this one, "knock knock, who's there?, Thomas who?" He says the whole joke to himself, then he laughs. He also loves Yo Gabba Gabba right now, he sings the good bye song off of it so sweet in a super high voice, we can't get enough of it.

Lola and Ray- When we were trying to think of a name for the baby, we kept asking the kids what we should name him, these are some of the ones I remember. Lola- Polka-dot. Ray- Thomas, Percey, Emily, Gordon, James. Then Tony decided that he liked Carver, so we asked the kids if we should call the baby Carver and Lola said, "no!" then Tony asked Ray and Ray said, "No, Harvey!" Tony kept trying to get Ray to say Carver and he just kept repeating, "Harvey!" then Tony said slowly, "Say, CAAARVEERRR! but Ray said it back to him in the same way, "HAAARVEYYY!" We thought that was pretty funny. After Ray suggested Thomas and all of his friends, then Lola got a great idea, her eyes got really big and she excitedly said, "I know, lets call him Sir Topham Hat!" Jokingly I said, "but what would his middle name be?" She thought for a tiny second and said, "St. George!" Funny girl! So glad we didn't take her suggestion seriously, even though we really like that she thought it up and was so excited to tell us about it. There will be No Sir Topham Hat St. George Goulding in this Family!

Get to bed!

Lately we have had a hard time getting Lola and Ray to stay in their beds all night, or to go to bed for that matter (energizer bunnies). Ray recently decided the crib wasn't for him and he prefers to sleep on the rug in his room. He was doing really well at staying in his room even if I left the door open he would lay on his pillow pet and fall fast asleep, it was amazing. Well, a few nights ago Lola decided she wanted to sleep on the floor too so I made them both beds on the Rug, said prayers and read them each a few books, then I turned on the Polor express book on Cd and gave them both a smootch and I was outta there. (this was all part of my new years goals, get the kids to bed by 9) I was feeling pretty good, then about five minutes later Lola comes out to tell me she loves me and that she wants to give me one more hug and kiss, so she does then I tell her to stay in her room and go to bed. This happens about 10 more times. I'm glad she LOVES me so much, but seriously help me out with my goals kid! Then she comes out one more time, but with a different request, "Mom, can you help me put my goggles on?" me, "what? No!" Lola, "but I need them to fall asleep!" Me, "no you don't, but whatever!" So I put them on for her then I can't stop laughing and I completly cave on my goal and took pictures of her an Ray looking so silly in their "Sleep goggles" can you even imagine the rings around their eyes if they did keep them on all night. P.S. We went to bed at 11:00

Lola cuteness!

This year Lola and I were both super excited to set up the Christmas tree and decorations (We didn't set up a single decoration last year, so this year we started early, the week before Thanksgiving) I figured I better do it before I lost my excitement!. I got out all of the ornaments and Lola proudly placed each one on the tree (really close together and all basically on the same side of the tree) then Tony asked her to come and help him work in the attic and I rearranged the ornaments and plugged in the tree lights. When Lola came back down and saw the tree she said, "Mom, I didn't know it was going to be this beautiful!" she paused for a second then said, "it looks just like me!" She makes everything so much more exciting, I'm so glad I have her!

ME- I went to the doctor Yesterday and all is well, baby has officially taken over my body! Doctor said, no amount of tape will fix my belly button and that surgery is the best and safest way to go! ( no more scars from pulling off tape!) I am ready to be done, but not quite ready to have a baby. We haven't gotten any of the baby clothes out yet, we don't have a baby car seat anymore (expired) and we aren't quite sure where we are going to put the little fella, (1,000 square feet of house seems to be getting smaller my the minute!) but I am excited to see him!

side note- 34 weeks, gained 20 pounds (weight gain slowed down, thank goodness)

Excited-
Tony and I are heading to St. George for our 6 year anniversary this weekend, can't wait to eat at all our favorite restaurants and have a little break from the kids before we have one more little babe on our hands!

Hope Everyone has a fabulous Christmas, 2009 has been SO good to us!

Halloween Part Three!

No, I am not dressed up like a "Pregnant Ladybug", I really am pregnant and just dressed up like a Lady Bug, phew I said it! I was worried I would NEVER catch up on my blog and all of the sudden I would start posting pictures of some strange new baby. Anyway, we are due the end of January and it's a BOY! I am really excited. It took Lola awhile to warm up to the idea of another Brother, she really wanted a sister. When we found out what we were having Lola was bummed, to say the least. We were driving home from the ultrasound, Tony aimed the rear view so he could see Lola and he said, "Lola are you okay with having another brother?" she replied, "I'm not talking, I'm just chewing on my strap!" she then tilted her head and started to bite on her car seat strap. What the? (She never does stuff like this, it was pretty funny!) Part of the reason I was delayed in posting was because I miscarried again (not a big deal, I'm fine) and so I was super worried this time around, so I waited until I didn't feel so nervous about it, which took a lot longer than I thought it would. Anyway, I need to add this just because I do! -My second miscarriage, I volunteer once a week at a day care so we can get a free family membership to the rec center, I was there and I was only four weeks along. I wasn't going to tell anyone since I had miscarried before, but I decided to tell the ladies I work with that day because I figured why not get some extra prayers. About an hour after I told them I went to the bathroom and started bleeding, I felt so stupid for telling them then they made a big deal about it and sent me home. I felt super emotional thinking what is wrong with me, and I grabbed my stuff and Lola and Ray and headed out to my car. Lola didn't notice that I was crying, she was too concerned about the fact that she didn't get a treat or go Gymnastics like she normally does right after we finish in the daycare. As we were walking out to the parking lot Lola was whining and throwing a big fit and asking a million questions about why we were going home, at the same time I was calling Tony to tell him, and I really started to cry when he answered, then all of the sudden Lola noticed that something was wrong and she said, "Mom, why are you Whining?!" It totally made me laugh, man I am thankful that I have her! That was a REALLY long story just to get that one line of hers in but I didn't want to forget it. A little info about this pregnancy- Baby seems to be growing at lighting speed, I have already gained 17 pounds (one pound away from what I gained with Lola full term, and 4 pounds away with Ray) I try not to think about where the numbers on the scale will be by the time I gain that one pound a week from here on out, yikers! My belly button is all the way out and then some, My Doctor said it is herniated-not cool! I tried to tape it down last week with medical tape and it worked, but the removal process-not so much! It pulled my skin off, so now I have an outtie and probably some scars-Suckey! Any ideas? I started to feel the baby move at 16 weeks, it never gets old. I can't wait to meet him! We are having a really hard time coming up with a name, I'd love some suggestions!
Annual Frampton family Halloween party- Sister in law Sally and I picked out Dick and Janes costumes, We couldn't stop laughing when they tried them on, classic Mario and Luigi, they are such good sports, and so funny!
We were sad that Tony couldn't make it, second year in a row that he has missed the party, hopefully next year!
